One outspoken issue that Red Dead Online has brought to the forefront, is its unbalanced economy. Rockstar will be fixing the currency problem on Thursday, where they will tweak in-game item prices and give players a more comprehensive payout. In addition to this, players who partook in the beta will be given some free cash as compensation. Whereas, if anyone has bought something in-game that is now given a price drop by Rockstar, there will be a refund on those items.
Rockstar has given a listed update on the other things you can expect to have made changes within the first week’s update:
- Increasing the cash and gold payments across a number of different activities including Free Roam Missions, Free Roam Events, replays of A Land of Opportunities Missions, Showdown Series modes and more.
- Reducing the prices of most weapons in the Wheeler, Rawson & Co Catalogue and Gunsmiths. For players that have already purchased weapons at the previous prices, we will automatically deposit the difference to player balances starting today – please look for an alert message the next time you log in to the Red Dead Online Beta to notify you of this change, refunds may take up until December 10th to reach all players.
- Balancing the values of select pelts, skins and fish as well as horse reviver and pamphlets.
This is just a first response patch to the feedback of players since the beta has released. “Of course our efforts to improve and balance the Red Dead Online Beta will continue,” said Rockstar. “We are conscious of and still evaluating an assortment of further adjustments based on feedback from the community.”
If you are a player who joined the Red Dead Online beta from November 27th through December 6th, you will receive $250 of in-game cash, as well as 15 gold bars.
As of this posting, they will be available.
