Next week, on the Game Awards, Obsidian Entertainment will be enlightening the crowd with a new role-playing game that they have announced on Wednesday. A pop on Obsidian’s website has mentioned that the company is now sponsored by many companies, one being “Spacer’s choice,” that promotes a images of space weapons of all kinds, and Auntie Cleo’s, that displays photos of skin care products.
Microsoft has been dipping their pockets into different gaming companies in order to make the Xbox-related consoles the best place to play, and Obsidian is a wise place to start.
“As one of the industry’s premiere RPG developers, we couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity to add their expertise to Microsoft Studios, while enabling the studio to preserve its unique culture and build on its talent and vision to fully realize their creative ambitions,” Microsoft has stated. That said, it’s stated that Obsidian will remain as free as they’ve ever been as a company.
Take-Two interactive-owned, Private Division , a publisher that is primarily for developers and assembled in December of 2017, has made claims to be already affiliated with Obsidian Entertainment, V1 Interactive, The Outsiders, Panache Digital Games, and Squad. This is the first game announced by Private Division.
The Game Awards will be broadcast on December 6th, where they will announce the winners of multiple accolades and unveil upcoming titles.
