CyberPunk 2077 Will Have A Huge Map
In a recent report by VG24/7 via PlayStationLifestyle, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 has been stated by the developer to “huge”. Which is no suprise being it’s an open-world game created by the minds behind The Witcher, which had been massive and nearly endless in terms of content to find and activities to get involved in.
“Night City holds 6 districts, but I can’t give you an exact number in square meters, because no one counted this yet. Also, this is tricky for an urban environment – Night City has lots of buildings and these buildings have floors. You can have 120 square meters of space technically taking up 60m2 of space. In a tall building, and we will have many of them explorable, each floor can house a lot of activities. Floors stack. The Witcher 3 was, in a way, much flatter – the activities were scattered. Here, the world can be huge, but it can be huge upwards, or downwards.”
In the gameplay video that was released during E3 2018, we were shown different aspects of the game from the combat, environments, NPCs, dialogue choices, traversal, and maturity. However, there’s no exact comparison as to how big the game’s map is, being that it is vertical instead of flat.
